Liverpool, Newcastle and Bayern ‘set to battle to sign Juventus winger Frederico Chiesa’… with Italian giants ‘applying £38m price tag’ to runaway star

Liverpool, Newcastle and Bayern Munich are said to be interested in making a move for Frederico Chiesa this summer, with the Italian winger ‘unhappy’ with Juventus.
Chiesa, one of the stars of Italy’s European Championship triumph in 2021, has had a difficult season after returning from an anterior cruciate ligament injury which kept him out of action for almost 10 months.
He started just six league games and managed four goals in 33 appearances in all competitions.
And Il Corriere dello Sport claims he is open to the idea of joining a new club as he no longer feels ‘at the center of the project’ in Turin.
Liverpool have been watching the player closely for some time while Newcastle United and Bayern have shown interest more recently.

The Italian newspaper say Juve have set an asking price of £38m but they are no doubt hoping to start a bidding war between the three clubs.
Chiesa still has two years left on his current contract which sees him earning £154,000 a week.
The report also adds that Juve have started looking for replacements with Nicolo Zaniolo and Wilfried Gnonto being considered.

Chiesa joined The Old Lady on a two-year loan in 2022 with an option to buy £35million at the end of those 24 months.
Juventus chose this option last May as the player recovered from his serious injury.
