Alisson Becker’s wife, Natalia, has given birth to a son, the Liverpool goalkeeper has revealed.
The 28-year-old Brazilian was delighted to show off his newborn baby, a moment of joy in a year that was also marked by a family tragedy. Alisson’s father died in February after drowning in a lake near his vacation home in Lavras do Sul, Brazil.
Now, however, Alisson and Natalia – who got married in 2015 – have welcomed their third child after the birth of daughter Helena in 2017 and son Matteo in 2019.

Announcing the news to his seven million followers on Instagram, Alisson said alongside a photo of his wife and new baby boy, “Welcome my son!
“Now the warrior has his quiver full.”
Alisson’s elation comes just two days after his man-of-the-match performance against Southampton.
But it’s also only three months after his father’s tragic death.
Jose Agostinho Becker, 57, was found dead near a lake on the family’s farm near the town of Lavras do Sul in southern Brazil.
He is said to have gotten into trouble after going for a swim in the lake, although he often practiced spearfishing and scuba diving at the family’s rural retreat, just over 200 miles from their main residence in Novo Hamburgo.
His widow Magali and son Muriel, 34, the goalkeeper of the Rio de Janeiro club Fluminense, were among the mourners at his funeral, but Alisson was left devastated after being unable to attend due to travel restrictions due to the corona virus.
Alisson said in a post in English and Portuguese on his official Twitter account after hearing of his father’s death: ‘I want to thank everyone for the messages and tribute to my beloved father.
‘Our family feels loved by everyone. May God bless everyone’s life. ‘

Alisson has endured a sometimes difficult season on the field, with Liverpool’s slump coinciding with a number of personal fouls, most notably two fouls in the home defeat to Manchester City on 7 February.
But he seems to be back at his best after several major saves on Saturday night as the Reds try to take a Champions League place.
Alisson was named man of the match after keeping a clean sheet against Southampton as the Reds kept their hopes in the top four alive with a 2-0 win over Anfield.
They are currently six points behind fourth in Leicester City, with a game in hand against the Foxes.
The news comes on the same day that Alisson’s teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain announced that he is expecting his first child with longtime girlfriend and Little Mix star Perrie Edwards.
