Torres, who plays predominately on the right wing, is under contract at the Mestalla Stadium until the summer of 2021.

The club could make him available for as little as £17million at the end of the season should the teenager decide not to renew his contract.

That price could tempt Liverpool into making a move next summer with Jurgen Klopp reportedly keen to bring in more attacking reinforcements.

Very much one for the future, Torres would be Mohamed Salah’s understudy while also jockeying for minutes with Xherdan Shaqiri, Divock Origi and Rhian Brewster at Anfield.

The teenager is also one of the 20 nominees for this year’s Golden Boy award, along with the likes of Jadon Sancho, Phil Foden and Joao Felix.

Torres was also integral in Spain’s European Under 19 Championship triumph over Portugal after notching a brace in July’s final.
