According to reports, Liverpool would like to replace disgruntled Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio in the near future.
The 25-year-old Asensio is said to have threatened to leave the club during the winter transfer window because of his lack of minutes, which could lead to Anfield being red.
Despite scoring a hat-trick against Mallorca this week, an exit for Asensio appears to be on the horizon, and Liverpool may be ready for a run.

Fichajes.Net claim manager Jurgen Klopp is eager to rebuild his team and sees the Spain international as a great asset.
As Asensio has not been regularly selected this season, it is believed that Asensio will soon have talks with Carlo Ancelotti and that he could leave.
While Madrid isn’t as star-studded as it used to be, Madrid has been blessed with names such as Eden Hazard, Gareth Bale and Vinicius Junior, much to Asensio’s chagrin.
It was reported by Sport that he has even threatened to leave the Bernabe after feeling “provoked” by Ancelotti.

Left as an unused substitute in the 2-1 win over Valencia, Asensio ‘exploded’ and remains unhappy with the role he has this season.
Asensio has reportedly been given the chance to move this summer, and Tottenham are also said to be interested in him, in addition to Liverpool.
Other reports in August added Arsenal to the mix, but Liverpool can offer Asensio action in the Champions League.
With two years to go, Madrid is faced with the opportunity to sell him and collect a handsome fee if he asks.

Ancelotti has admitted he is aware of Asensio’s frustration with his limited playing time, but said this was “normal” and a “good” response.
“It’s normal for those who don’t play to be unhappy,” Ancelotti said.
“If Marco Asensio or Isco or Luka Jovic are not happy with not playing, that’s normal, that’s okay.
“But Asensio, Isco and Jovic are training well. Asensio, Isco and Jovic get minutes.

“I have to evaluate the condition of the players who have played.
‘I’m thinking about making some changes’ [in the next match], but i have to see [Tuesday’s] first training session.
“But yes, we are thinking of making some changes. It’s hard to choose the line-ups.’
Asensio has played 134 games for Madrid in LaLiga since 2016, and has also won the league title twice and two Champions League trophies.
