Liverpool fans divided over Arne Slot’s arrival… some praise his ‘attacking football’ and others question his ‘experience’

Liverpool fans are divided after a deal was reached with Feyenoord to make Arne Slot the new Reds manager.

The Reds have agreed a compensation package for Slot to succeed Klopp.

Klopp, who has managed Liverpool since 2015, announced in January that he would leave Liverpool at the end of the season.

Earlier this week, Slot expressed his desire to be appointed Liverpool manager.

One Liverpool fan expressed his belief that Slot’s style of play will suit Liverpool.

They wrote: “I am very excited to have a coach who will coach positive offensive football with principles that will lead us to be in control of the games.” “That’s all I want above all else and I think Slot’s football will suit a lot of players in this squad perfectly.”

Another supporter drew parallels between Klopp’s appointment and Slot’s arrival.

They wrote: ‘The same people who elected Jurgen Klopp are choosing Arne Slot. Klopp has put together a young and deep team that is ready to succeed. We will miss Klopp, but the new era is exciting too!’

Meanwhile, another fan added that Slot is a “sly” quote.

They said: ‘Excited for our next chapter. Arne Slot is an astute appointment, backed by a coherent and unified structure.

‘It goes without saying that the culture of Liverpool Football Club is special – as fans we play our own part in its success.

‘Trust the process.’

However, one Chelsea fan warned that Liverpool will “go back to being a normal club” once Klopp leaves.

While one football fan wrote: ‘From Jurgen Klopp, 4* aura, to Arne Slot, -aura. What a fall from grace, man!
