Diogo Jota is fit and ready to return to the Liverpool squad after just two months on the sidelines, with the Portuguese set to boost Arne Slot’s attacking department.
Darwin Núñez has scored just three goals all season and has been criticized by fans for being wasteful in front of goal, with heavy touches and wayward passes galore.
But Jota, 28, has had a full week of training and will be on the bench for Liverpool’s game against Fulham on Saturday.
The Portugal international has not played since suffering a rib injury against Chelsea seven weeks ago.
Summer signing Federico Chiesa has also participated in team training last week and has overcome a virus that kept him out of the midweek trip to Girona.
“I think they are (available this weekend),” Slot said during his press conference ahead of Fulham’s visit on Saturday.

The return of Jota and Chiesa will be a big boost for Reds manager Arne Slot.
“We have one more training session left, Federico missed a lot for a long time, he was sick last week so we have to see how he is.
“Maybe Diogo is in the squad, maybe Federico too, but that depends on the numbers and how he has recovered from his illness.”
Chiesa has played just 78 minutes since his £12.5m move from Juventus.
He stepped up his recovery last week with an appearance and a goal for Liverpool’s under-21 team.
Liverpool sit top of the Premier League, ahead of second-placed Chelsea by four points having played one game less.
