Liverpool are preparing a move for Youri Tielemans once his Leicester contract expires this summer… as Jurgen Klopp tries to repeat the trick that won him Georginio Wijnaldum and Andy Robertson
Youri Tielemans has been tipped as a possible move to Liverpool this summer as Leicester City are relegated from the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are looking for reinforcements in midfield after pulling out of a deal with Jude Bellingham, who is set to join Real Madrid this summer.
Tielemans could now be a potential target for the Reds this summer The athletic‘s James Pearce suggests, ‘I’d put Tielemans in the category of a possibility just because he’s free.
“I think if you were talking about significant compensation for him, it probably isn’t. What is he? 26.
“Let’s say Liverpool sign (Alexis) Mac Allister and (Mason) Mount, you don’t get much change at £130m, then Tielemans would make sense.”

World Cup winner Mac Allister and Chelsea star Mount have been closely linked with moves to Liverpool this summer, with the former locked in contract negotiations at Stamford Bridge.
With Klopp targeting several new faces for his midfield as the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita are set to leave, Tielemans is also a ‘possibility’ for a transfer.
If Leicester are relegated from the Premier League, Klopp could steal the Foxes midfielder.
Liverpool have done the same in the past when they opted to sign Andy Robertson and Gini Wijnaldum from relegated clubs Hull City and Newcastle United.
The pair became crucial to Klopp’s system, lifting Premier League and Champions League trophies during their time at Anfield.

Hoping Tielemans would enjoy the same success if brought in, Liverpool fans could see Leicester’s number eight in the heart of their midfield from next season.
After a mixed season, in which Liverpool finished fifth in the Premier League, Anfield needs a rebuild.
With Leicester on the brink of relegation, with an 18th-place finish and two points from safety, it would make sense for The Reds to move to Belgium international Tielemans.
It remains to be seen whether he will become a concrete target for Liverpool, but the signing has been described as a possibility as of now.
