Red Bull Salzburg have agreed a deal with Liverpool for youngster Bobby Clark as the 19-year-old prepares to leave England for the Austrian top-flight side.
Arne Slot has yet to welcome a player to the club since replacing Jurgen Klopp in the Anfield dugout earlier in the summer ahead of the Premier League season kicking off on Friday.
Liverpool had thought that Martín Zubimendi would become their new signing, but the Euro 2024 winner with Spain changed his mind and decided to stay at Real Sociedad.
Now the club are set to see their squad numbers reduced even further as Clark prepares to join Salzburg after the two clubs agreed a £10m asking price.
Salzburg are coached by former Liverpool assistant Pep Lijnders, who previously worked with Clark when the talented attacker broke into the club’s first team last season.

The two clubs have also agreed a 17.5 per cent sell-on fee as Liverpool look to secure the investment they have made in Clark’s development since he joined their academy.
Leeds and Norwich were among Championship sides who also registered an interest in the attacking talent who made six Premier League appearances last season.
Salzburg have, however, pipped both clubs to Clark’s signing as the Liverpool academy product targets more consistent first-team opportunities at the Austrian side.
Clark broke into Liverpool’s first team last season and is set to leave Anfield.
Clark was one of the surprise absentees from Liverpool’s pre-season tour of the United States as they looked to leave Anfield.
The youngster scored 17 goals in Premier League youth competitions last season, while he also broke his all-time record with a goal in the Europa League.
