Geelong will be without star forward Tom Hawkins this afternoon as they prepare to continue their perfect start to the season.
Hawkins was initially named at Chris Scott’s 23rd spot. However, he is now a late omission, with Shannon Neale coming into the team as his replacement.
The Cats will host the Kangaroos at Kardinia Park, with the first bounce scheduled for 1pm. Later, West Coast will host Richmond at Perth Stadium, with that rebound scheduled for 4pm.

Sunday’s AFL results
Grim recent history facing kangaroos
The Cats are the favorites this afternoon, and rightly so.
If the last three matchups between these two teams are too good, the Kangaroos could have a good old-fashioned fight.
Geelong has won the last three games against North by margins of 62, 112 and 60 points.

Hawkins ruled out by Cats
Geelong coach Chris Scott made a late change, with Shannon Neale coming into the team to replace Tom Hawkins.
The Cats say Hawkins has been “controlled.”
Jhye Clark will line up as a substitute for the Cats, while Charlie Lazzaro will be the substitute for North.
