Martinez has announced that he is happy with the Dutch champions and that he is very popular with both teammates and supporters in Amsterdam.
He is content with a low profile out of respect for the club and fans, but is believed to be following the interest in him closely.
The 24-year-old would be open to the opportunity to play in the Premier League and would be determined to seize his chance if the clubs can agree a fee.
However, Ajax is holding on for around £43m amid additional interest from Man United
United are interested in Martinez but have to sell first and Axel Tuanzebe, Phil Jones and Eric Bailly all want to move on.
United are currently focusing on closing a deal with Barcelona for Frenkie de Jong and are also hoping to add Christian Eriksen to a freestyle.
Arsenal want Martinez as their main defensive addition and are continuing talks with Leeds United for Raphinha this week after securing Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.
