‘Now you’ll know the truth’: Lisa Wilkinson, 61, has vowed to reveal juicy details of her most controversial career moments in her upcoming autobiography, It Wasn’t Meant To Be
“It’s my autobiography and I’m excited (and a little terrified) to share the cover with you today,” she wrote.
The book’s cover features an age-defying Lisa posing in a white long-sleeved blouse while capturing a coy smile for the camera.
It’s called “It Wasn’t Meant To Be That Way,” and tells the story of how this magazine junkie from (proudly) Sydney’s western suburbs worked hard to survive the bumps and bruises of my teenage years, and I found myself in situations and places I could have ever dreamed of,” she continued.
‘I’ve completely opened up’: Lisa says her book will take an unprecedented look behind her glossy media image and may reveal some surprising details about the ‘real’ Lisa
She promised that her book will take an unprecedented look behind her glossy media image and reveal perhaps surprising details about the “real” Lisa.
“In it, I completely opened up to things I’ve never talked about before, even with some of my best friends. I share the rollercoaster ride of joy and sorrow, the moments of pinching myself and the hard lessons I’ve had to learn along the way,” she wrote.
“I’ve left no stone unturned, especially when it comes to some of the more public moments you’ve seen in the headlines. Now you will know the truth,’ she concluded.
Nothing off-limits: “I’ve left no stone unturned, especially when it comes to some of the more public moments you’ve seen in the headlines. Now you will know the truth,’ she said
Fans are no doubt hoping Lisa’s book will address her controversial departure from Nine in 2017, after a decade of co-hosting the Today show with Karl Stefanovic.
She quit today because Karl reportedly made more than $2 million while on a $1.1 million-a-year contract.
The network was supposedly only willing to increase her salary to $1.8 million, but she demanded equal pay.
