Lisa Wilkinson has apologized to ex-MP Andrew Laming for a tweet she posted after he was accused of taking an inappropriate photo of a woman.
The former Queensland MP was accused of taking a photo of a woman who accidentally showed her underwear as she bent over to fill a fridge in 2019.
Crystal White said the photo was “really inappropriate” because she had bent over, but Dr Laming insisted the photo was “completely worthy.”

Queensland Police have found ‘no evidence to suggest a criminal offence’.
Wilkinson apologized on Sunday for a tweet she posted in March 2021.
“In March 2021, I tweeted about Andrew Laming. I now accept that the claim about Dr Laming in that tweet was false and defamatory,” she wrote.
“I unconditionally withdraw that statement and apologize to Dr. Laming for all the pain and insults caused to him by my behavior.”
dr. Laming said he was relieved by Wilkinson’s apology, but said he wouldn’t be satisfied until the “original publisher” follows suit.
“I will not be really successful until the original publisher of the false allegations takes responsibility or is otherwise tried in court,” he told news.com.au.
The former Liberal National Party supporters are suing Nine Media for defamation, and the hearing is scheduled for the Federal Court in October.

In March 2019, Dr Laming said he would be stepping down from all parliamentary positions to undergo counseling after allegations of harassment were made.
‘I will resign with immediate effect from all parliamentary positions and complete the two counseling courses I have joined; as well as additional clinical counseling, and ask for privacy while that is complete,” the statement read.
He has since been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and says daily medication has improved his life.
The former MP said his diagnosis was “no excuse” for his actions, but that his diagnosis has improved his relationship with his children.
dr. Laming decided to take legal action against the network after Queensland Police found ‘no evidence of a criminal offence’.
Ms White, a mother from Brisbane, told Nine News that the photo taken of her by Dr Laming was “really inappropriate” because she had been bent over.
She had placed drinks in a refrigerator at a landscaping company.
dr. Laming said the photo simply showed “someone trying to fit an impossible amount of stock in a refrigerator” and offered to remove it.

dr. Laming apologized to both women in writing and in a speech to parliament after being dragged into former Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s office.
“His comments were not acceptable to either women or the prime minister,” said a spokesman for the prime minister’s office.
“Every Australian has the right to feel safe online and Mr Laming is committed to changing his online communication practices.”
dr. Laming said in March 2021 that he acknowledged his comments about the women in Brisbane, Alix Russo and Sheena Hewlett, who had caused them great distress.
“I want to express my regret and my deepest apologies for the pain and distress that communication may have caused,” said Dr Laming.
“I want to retract those comments and offer a public, unreserved apology.”
In a Facebook post, Dr Laming accused Ms Russo, a single mother, of embezzling money from a homeless charity.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Dr. Laming for comment.
