Lisa Wilkinson is making an official complaint to Channel Seven about the interview with Bruce Lehrmann
- Complaint relates to Lehrmann’s Spotlight interview
- Also to the alleged letter sent to Wilkinson by Higgins
Lisa Wilkinson has reportedly filed an official complaint with Seven about the recent interview with Bruce Lehrmann.
The project’s host filed a complaint on Tuesday alleging that the broadcast violated commercial television standards.
Her complaint relates to the Spotlight interview with Mr. Lehrmann on June 4 and an excerpt in Sunrise two days later that referenced a letter allegedly sent to Wilkinson by Brittany Higgins, according to The protector.

Bruce Lehrmann (pictured) broke his silence in a TV interview two years after Brittany Higgins accused him of raping her in Parliament House
The explosive interview, which broke Lehrmann’s two-year media silence, revealed never-before-seen security footage of Mr Lehrmann and Mrs Higgins entering the House of Parliament on the night of the alleged attack and a recording of a five-hour lunch Mrs Higgins had had. with Wilkinson and two others before talking about The Project.
While the substance of Wilkinson’s complaint is unclear, it is clear that the layers of Network ten and Wilkinson are concerned that Seven improperly used evidence from Mr. Lehrmann’s trial on the Spotlight program.
CCTV footage captured the pair in a bar in Canberra earlier that evening. During his interview, Mr Lehrmann was put to the test over an alleged eyewitness account of him and Mrs Higgins kissing at the location – but he denied that anything of the sort had taken place
Ms Higgins claims she was raped by Mr Lehrmann in the House of Parliament after a night out in 2019. Mr. Lehrmann has always maintained his innocence.
Until the Spotlight interview, Mr Lehrmann remained silent about the night in question, speaking only in a taped interview with police in 2021 – which was played back to the ACT Supreme Court during his criminal trial last October.
Now Mr. Lehrmann has answered some direct questions, including: Did you rape Brittany Higgins? Did you have consensual sex? Did you kiss her? Were you intimate with her at all?
Mr. Lehrmann answered ‘no’ to every question.
