Lisa Marie Presley’s ex-husband, Michael Lockwood, has filed papers to represent their daughters in an upcoming court hearing.
Lockwood, 61, wants to represent the interests of twins Harper and Finley, 14, in a hearing involving Lisa Marie’s multimillion-dollar trust, according to TMZ.
The guitarist, who was married to the late singer from 2006 to 2021, is asking a judge to appoint him ‘guardian ad litem’ and give him the authority to speak on behalf of the girls.
Presley – who suffered a fatal cardiac arrest on January 12 at the age of 54 – had two life insurance policies, one for $25 million and one for $10 million. The trust has become a major point of contention for the family, including Lisa’s mother, Priscilla Presley, 77, and her eldest daughter, Riley Keough, 33.
Priscilla was originally a trustee, but the star ousted her a few years before her death and Riley replaced her. The will contains rights to the Graceland mansion and a 15 percent interest in Elvis Presley Enterprises.

In a 2016 amendment to her will, Lisa Marie removed her mother as her executor and named her two adult sons, Riley and Benjamin Keough, as her sole heirs. Lisa shared Riley and Benjamin with her first husband, Danny Keough, 58. The couple was married from 1988 to 1994.
Benjamin committed suicide in 2020, leaving Riley as the sole heir, but Priscilla is now challenging the amendment, which removed her from the will entirely.
Michael is reportedly aligned with Priscilla on the trust issue, which could see them fight in court against Riley.
It was also recently reported that Priscilla and Lisa Marie “barely spoke” before the latter’s death after she sided with Lockwood during a bitter custody battle over the twins.
Multiple sources told People that the mother and daughter were not on speaking terms before Lisa Marie’s death, despite appearing together at multiple events, including the Elvis biopic.
The former couple fought in court until October 2022, with the tension reaching Lisa Marie’s daughter, Riley.
“Riley was always on her mom’s side when it came to Michael,” a source told People. She resented that her grandmother and Michael flew to the funeral together.
Priscilla also helped Michael into the ceremony, despite her late daughter’s wishes.

Inconsistent: Priscilla filed a petition to challenge the ‘authenticity and validity’ of the trust after claiming Lisa Marie’s signature is ‘inconsistent’, just days after her daughter’s funeral; Priscilla and Lisa photographed in 2011
“Michael wasn’t invited,” a close friend of Lisa Marie’s told the magazine. He arrived in Memphis under the pretense that he had to be the twins’ chaperone, and made his way with Priscilla’s help.
“The last thing Lisa Marie would have wanted was for Michael to be there.”
During the 2019 custody battle, Lisa Marie filed an amendment to her living trust, making Riley and her late son Benjamin her heirs, and removing Priscilla and her former manager Barry Siegel as co-trustees.
Priscilla filed a petition to challenge the ‘authenticity and validity’ of the trust after claiming that Lisa Marie’s signature is ‘inconsistent’. She filed the petition in a Los Angeles court a few days after her daughter’s funeral.
The grandmother of four also claimed she was unaware that Lisa Marie had changed the trust in 2016 until her daughter passed away.
If Priscilla’s petition prevails, she and Riley would be co-trustees of Lisa Marie’s estate, but neither wants the other’s influence, a source said.
‘Priscilla doesn’t want Riley to be solely responsible, because then she has no say. In the meantime, Riley doesn’t want Priscilla meddling,” a source told People.
‘It is a very sad situation. Riley is shocked that Priscilla is challenging the amendment,” another source said. “They disagree,” another source said. The couple will face each other in court on April 13.

Michael lost his 2016 offer in their divorce to undo their prenup, but reopened the case in 2021.
Before his death, they were known to share custody of their children 50/50, with Michael taking care of them with his new wife, and Lisa Marie paying $4,600 in child support to the guitarist a month.
However, Radar reported that they had recently reached an agreement in which she would pay him $6,000 a month.
In a recent court filing, Michel claimed that his ongoing legal battle with Lisa Marie over their separation had cost him more than $1 million in legal fees and that he was considering bankruptcy.
He was seeking $40,000 a month in child support and insisted that she had more money than she claimed in court documents.
The final agreement was not made public, but days after the agreement, Michael remarried while marrying Stephanie Hobgood.
Meanwhile, the twins, who were living with their mother in her $4 million Calabasas home when she passed away, have been splitting their time between their grandmother Priscilla’s house and their father’s house.
