All six main cast – Courtney, Lisa, David, Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry – came together for the reunion special.

“Well, Courteney comes in and bursts into tears and I grab a napkin or a tissue – LeBlanc grabs it because he tells us a story and doesn’t want to miss a moment and starts to dab her eyes, just automatically. That’s who we were!’ said Lisa.

At the start of the reunion special, the six protagonists arrived on the set of Courteney’s character Monica’s apartment, where much of the show takes place.

Courteney was one of the last to show up and saw Lisa, Jennifer, David and Matt sharing all their memories there.

Matt had actually told a story about him and Courteney when she showed up, so he started it again for her benefit – which was when he wiped her eyes.

He recalled that at one point Courteney had “this big speech and you struggled with it all week and you wrote it on the table, and then just — and I didn’t know that was what you were doing.”

Matt added: ‘And I saw it and I asked you and you told me to mind my business so when you weren’t looking I erased it before we shot it and you got so mad at me!’

‘That’s so mean! Why would you delete it?’ Courteney said with a smile and Matt, barely able to contain his laughter, said, “Just to get you!”

“Yes, because our family couldn’t tell, our friends, our best friends couldn’t tell,” David said. “I think they were there for us, but the only other people who really knew what it was like were the other five.”
