Lisa Faulkner gave rare insight into her marriage to MasterChef’s John Torode in a new interview on Monday.
The 52-year-old actress, presenter and television chef revealed the secret of her happy relationship after getting married in 2019.
The pair often work together and this year released their first joint cookbook and continued hosting their morning show John And Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen.
And Lisa has now said that the key to their union is that, despite their shared projects, they don’t really work together too much.
she said beautiful magazine: ‘John and I love working together. Different things work for different people, but I think the fact that we don’t work together all the time means that when we do we have a good time.
‘We look out for each other and make sure we have date nights or cook for each other.

It comes after Lisa voiced her support for Grace Dent after she was named Gregg Wallace’s MasterChef replacement.
Restaurant critic Grace, 51, will step in to judge the upcoming series amid an external review into historic misconduct allegations made against Gregg.
Responding to a BBC post announcing her appointment, Lisa responded with three “raised hands” emojis and a heart, writing: “Come on Grace!”
Grace previously appeared as a regular guest on MasterChef for over a decade and even competed in last year’s Battle of the Critics.
In a statement of his own, included in the post, Lisa’s husband, John, praised his new co-host as the “perfect person to step in” at her side.
He said: ‘I’ve loved working with Grace on MasterChef over the years. She has been an excellent guest, an inspiring critic and has also posed incredible challenges.’
John continued: ‘The experience is what MasterChef is all about, from the contestants to our wonderful production team and us as judges.

Gregg has faced a number of complaints about his alleged behavior, including claims that he made inappropriate sexual jokes, shared intimate details of his sex life and even walked around naked except for a sock on his penis.
He would also reportedly take off his clothes in front of women on set, flirt with crew members, and has been accused of groping two crew members.
At least 13 women have made formal complaints about Gregg on five shows over a 17-year period, and more have described inappropriate experiences on social media since the scandal broke.
His lawyers have previously denied any allegations that he engaged in behavior amounting to sexual harassment.
The BBC previously canceled two planned MasterChef Christmas specials amid the publicity storm surrounding the presenter, as producers of the Banijay show launched an investigation.
Gregg has faced a number of complaints about his alleged behavior, including claims that he made inappropriate sexual jokes and shared intimate details of his sex life.
