Lisa Armstrong flew to Portugal on Wednesday after learning that her ex-husband Ant McPartlin had become a father for the first time.
The makeup artist, 47, quickly fled the country to escape just 24 hours after Ant, 48, joyfully announced that his wife Anne-Marie, 46, had given birth to their first child, Wilder Patrick. .
A source told MailOnline: “Lisa jetted off to Portugal to get away, no doubt to escape the fuss around the Ant news.”
While Ant enjoys his baby bubble, the happy news seems to be a lot for Lisa to take in.
Ant and Lisa, who went through a bitter divorce in 2018 after 11 years of marriage, previously revealed their “tough” battle to conceive in a candid 2013 interview.

Lisa revealed on Tuesday, hours before Ant’s baby was due to arrive, that she is going through ‘silent battles’ which she detailed in a cryptic Instagram post.
Just before Ant announced the birth of his son, Lisa took to Instagram to share a cryptic post.
“Be proud of how you’ve been handling these past few months,” the post read. ‘The silent battles you’ve fought, the moments you had to humble yourself, the times you wiped away tears. Celebrate your strength.’
Ant also appeared to snub his beloved dog Hurley on his new tattoo in tribute to his family, after revealing the ink for the first time on Tuesday.
The Britain’s Got Talent star shared a glimpse of the tattoo on his shoulder, which features tributes to his wife Anne-Marie and his two stepchildren, along with his dogs Milo and Bumble.
However, one name that couldn’t be seen on Ant’s tattoo was his chocolate Labrador Hurley, which he shares with Lisa.
During their divorce battle, Ant is said to have told lawyers: “She can have anything she wants, except the dog.”
The former couple reportedly agreed to take turns caring for Hurley.

Ant was soon inundated with messages from friends including Jamie Redknapp, Davina McCall and Alesha Dixon, who were delighted to see the star finally become a father, after he publicly discussed his desire to be a father.

The baby will be Ant’s first, while Anne-Marie has two children, Poppy and Daisy, from her previous marriage.
When the news of Anne-Marie’s pregnancy was revealed, it was claimed that Ant was delighted as he didn’t believe fatherhood was in his plans.
