A lip reader has revealed that Donald Trump described Prince William as “a great man” after photos from their recent meeting in Paris showed the future king towering over the US president-elect.
Trump, 78, met the Prince of Wales, 42, at the British ambassador’s residence in Paris, following the historic reopening of Notre-Dame over the weekend.
Expert lip reader Jacqui Press analyzed a clip of their meeting on Saturday and told MailOnline how the incoming US president referred to William as “a big man” as they posed for photographs together.
After exchanging a warm handshake with William, Trump, who was elected back to power after defeating Kamala Harris last month, told reporters that “this is a great man.”
William then asked Trump if he had “warmed up after the cathedral,” after they attended the Paris landmark’s reopening ceremony earlier in the day.
Trump confirmed he did, before adding: “I had a good time there.”
Press also noted how Trump praised Prince William, telling reporters in attendance that he is “doing a fantastic job.”
The images showed that William, who is 191cm or 6ft 3in, appeared much taller than Trump, despite the latter claiming he is the same height.

He also told the outlet that Prince William gave Trump an update on King Charles’ health, explaining that the 76-year-old monarch is “fighting very hard” as he continues his cancer treatment.
