Partnership: Former English football star Alex Scott is M&S’s first sportswear ambassador
BBC sports pundit Alex Scott has teamed up with Marks & Spencer.
The former Lioness is the High Street retailer’s first sportswear ambassador as it hopes to attract more customers.
Scott, 39, said it was a “dream moment” to join forces with the store.
“M&S is a very iconic British brand and I couldn’t be happier to be joining the team – definitely another ‘pinch me’ moment,” he added.
After years of its fashion ranges being derided as “disgusting”, M&S has become fashionable again in more recent times.
Sportswear is a growing area, including its own range of Goodmove brands.
Third-party sportswear sales have grown more than 200 per cent in a year and it launched Brands at M&S in 2021 to appeal to younger shoppers.
