Lionel Messi’s son Mateo was caught on video this week throwing a lollipop at fans during a World Cup match.
The Messi family was on hand for Argentina’s 2-1 win over Australia in the round of 16, where the PSG striker was on hand to score his country’s opening goal.
However, chaos ensued in the stands when Messi’s middle child threw a lollipop into the crowd that had gathered among the family.

In the video, Messi’s wife – Antonela Roccuzzo – can be seen smiling with two of her children.
Next to her is Mateo, the middle child of Messi’s three sons. He quickly goes to grab the remains of his lollipop before being stopped by his mother.
Moments later, however, the seven-year-old managed to throw the lollipop into the crowd, much to his mother’s disappointment.
Roccuzzo quickly gives her son a warning and orders him to move away from the barrier, which he does.
While she didn’t find the situation amusing, a number of fans took to social media to praise the seven-year-old’s “funny” actions.

Fans online were quick to praise Mateo for his hilarious actions during the game against Argentina
“Pls he’s so funny,” one fan wrote. They added a crying emoji at the end to indicate the hilarity of the situation.
“He’s not real,” another wrote, using the same emojis accompanying the message.
“That boy is Argentinian from head to toe!” one user wrote.
Mateo’s actions seem to have been closely followed by his younger brother Ciro, who was also berated by his mother during the tournament in Qatar.

According to Argentine news channel TN, four-year-old Ciro Messi was photographed jumping on top of the seats and was spotted in the suite area of Stadium 974 on Wednesday.
The excitement of the youngest of Messi’s three children – all boys – ahead of the clash with Poland was enough to get a deadly look from his mother.
Roccuzzo could then be seen gesturing to Ciro in an attempt to get him to behave before order was restored.
The family eventually settled down and cheered as Messi and Argentina beat Poland 2-0 to progress to the knockout stage.

Messi has scored three goals and one assist in his four games so far. He managed to score his first ever World Cup goal in the knockout round against Australia on Saturday.
The 35-year-old hopes to increase his score when his team faces the Netherlands in the quarter-finals of the competition on Friday.
