Inter Miami received $75 million from investment group Ares Management Corp. after the arrival of Lionel Messi in the United States.
Argentina’s World Cup winner has made an incredible start for the United States, scoring five goals in his first three games for his new side.
And now, according to multiple reports, Ares has secured a $75m preferred stake in the team the club plans to use to help develop a new stadium.
Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas said in a statement: reported by yahoo: ‘Ares has been an important contributor over the past two years to help accelerate the growth of Inter Miami.
“This latest investment comes at an inflection point for the club with the planned development of our new stadium and the arrival of Lionel Messi, among other key initiatives.”

This is the group’s second investment – in 2021 they have invested $150 million in the team.
This represents more good news for Miami at a time when, until Messi’s arrival in Miami, the team had endured a miserable season.
Messi’s first three games have all come in the Coupe des Ligues – where the team will face Dallas on Sunday night.
But in Major League Soccer, Miami are last in the Eastern Conference and are already 12 points behind in the fight to qualify for the playoffs.
Miami returns to MLS in a few weeks, at Charlotte FC on Saturday August 19.
