Lionel Messi scored a stunning goal for Inter Miami on Thursday night against Nashville SC, in a rematch of last summer’s Leagues Cup final.
In his debut in the CONCACAF Champions Cup, Messi found himself near the top of the box in the 52nd minute when Luis Suarez handed him the ball.
The Argentine number 10 took a touch before passing the ball to goalkeeper Joe Willis with his favored left foot.
However, Miami still trailed 2-1 after the goal, thanks to a double by Jacob Shaffelburg.
Miami defeated Nashville on penalties last season to win the Leagues Cup after the arrivals of Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
It is Messi’s fourth goal in four appearances this season.
