Lionel Messi has listed his property empire on the Spanish stock market worth £185m.
The Argentine footballer is appointed president of his SOCIMI group Edificio Rostower.
His wife Antonela Roccuzzo is the vice president of the board. The real estate investment trust owns seven hotels in Spain and Andorra, three office spaces and flats in Spain, London and Paris.
The shares were trading at 57.40 euros on the Portfolio Stock Exchange, an alternative market supervised by the Bank of Spain.
Founded in 2013, Messi’s firm posted a loss of £1.4bn in 2023. Most of the investments are in the Spanish region of Catalonia, where Messi, 37, moved in 2000 when he was 13 to join the Barcelona academy.
Messi lived there until 2021, when he left for Paris Saint-Germain after Barcelona could not afford him.
He now plays for the American team Inter Miami, owned by David Beckham.
