Lindsey Graham rips up Dr. Fauci for refusing to speak out on the migrant crisis on the southern border, saying, ‘You have to go there and witness the largest COVID superspreader event in the nation’

  • Dr. Fauci has strongly criticized Republican governors who lifted restrictions in Texas and Mississippi amid the COVID pandemic
  • However, he was silent about the migrant crisis on the southern border
  • Last month, 170,000 migrants attempting to illegally enter the US were arrested after President Biden reversed Trump’s harsh policies.
  • The migrants have been placed in overcrowded processing facilities; hundreds have tested positive for COVID
  • Lindsey Graham has insinuated that Fauci is politically biased because she does not recognize that the migrant crisis is a public health problem

Lindsey Graham has blamed Dr. Anthony Fauci for refusing to speak out on the migrant crisis at the southern border, claiming that the thousands of new arrivals pose a health risk to Americans amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The South Carolina senator made the claim Friday, after the infectious disease expert – who serves as Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser – criticized some Southern states for having fully reopened.

Paging Dr. Fauci: You need to get to the southern border and personally witness the biggest superspreader event in the nation – President @ JoeBiden’s immigration policy, ” Graham tweeted tartly.

Thousands of migrants from Central America enter the country with a COVID positive rate of 10 percent. They have 900 people staying in a room built for 80 – overcrowded by over 1,000 percent.

Graham continued in a separate tweet, ‘Migrants in these facilities are jumbled and over each other. After getting close to COVID positives, they are dumped in Texas and taken to other parts of the country to help spread. ‘

He then immediately said to the doctor, ‘If you are concerned about the spread of COVID, you should be very concerned about what is happening on our southern border. The end of this superspreader event isn’t in sight until this policy changes. ‘

Officials in the Biden administration have admitted that their more ‘humane’ approach to immigration policy has fueled the rising number of border crossings.

Since taking office, Biden has lifted Trump policies that forced migrants to stay in Mexico as they go through the legal process to enter the US, narrowed the ICE’s criteria for arrests and deportations, and halted the construction of Trump’s border wall.

However, the administration failed to properly prepare the resources and infrastructure needed to accommodate the expected increase.

Last week, Biden declined to call the situation a crisis, despite human rights lawyers claiming that migrant children were starving and shower only occasionally.

Biden defended his policies at his first formal White House press conference, saying he would not apologize for reversing Trump’s policies.

He told reporters that ‘I think I should be flattered, people are coming because I’m the nice guy’.
