South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham was greeted with boos after former President Trump saluted him during his victory speech winning the South Carolina Republican primary.

Graham has been a longtime supporter of the former president as he seeks a second term in the White House, but the rowdy crowd was not a fan of Graham when Trump called him “a little further to the left than some of the people on this stage.” .’

Trump urged the senator to join him, joking that the senator didn’t want to draw attention to himself as the former president’s fans mocked him.

‘I love it. He is a good man,” Trump responded.

‘The nightmare you are facing is about to end. Help is on the way. “This is the man most qualified to be president of the United States,” Graham told the crowd and they slowly began to applaud.

Donald Trump immediately took the stage to speak after cruising to victory in South Carolina on Saturday night with a victory that gives him a direct sweep of the first four primary contests in the Republican presidential primaries.

“This was a little sooner than we expected,” Trump joked to a crowd of cheering supporters.

Not even a minute after polls closed at 7:00 pm on Saturday, the race was declared for Trump in an embarrassing defeat for Nikki Haley.

Trump’s victory is built on the growing momentum he has built following his victories in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada.

Haley’s loss on Saturday marks the first time a Republican candidate has lost his home state primary in more than 50 years. The previous one was Richard Nixon, who lost the California primary to Ronald Reagan, who was also from California.

Speaking to reporters Saturday before polls closed, Graham said that “Republicans have made a decision.” He said he respects and admires Haley, but the sooner she leaves the race, the better.
