The divorce lawyer representing Lindsay Shiver has quit in the middle of the former Georgia beauty queen’s ongoing custody battle with her ex-husband Robert, whom she is accused of trying to kill.
Shiver’s attorney, Bree O. Sullivan-Howell, requested permission to withdraw as counsel, according to documents obtained from Radaronline.
Now that the chairman has granted the request, it is up to Shiver to find new representation.
The lawyer did not give a reason why they left the case.

Shiver is accused of trying to have her husband killed in a “murder-for-hire” plot
Shiver recently appeared in court charged with conspiring to kill Robert with the help of her Bahamian boyfriend Terrence Adrien Bethel, 28, and alleged hitman Faron Newbold Jr., 29.
Prosecutors allege the former cheerleader from Thomasville, Georgia, sent a photo of Robert to Newbold along with an instruction to “kill” him when the former college football star visited his family vacation home in the Abaco Islands in July.
She and her co-defendants will argue that police took their venting text messages at face value and that they never intended to harm Robert — the father of Shiver’s three boys, ages four, 10 and 11 — who filed for divorce in April. his wife of deceit.
Lawyers for the trio protested when prosecutors missed a deadline to make their evidence public and instead asked for the proceedings to be postponed until December.
Insiders predict their hopes for a quick resolution are likely to be dashed as cases typically take three years or more to go to trial in the overburdened Bahamian legal system.
Shiver is barred from leaving Nassau as a condition of her $100,000 bail and must register her address with court officials.

Shiver, who is in the midst of a divorce, was arrested on July 21 for allegedly conspiring with Bethel and Newbold to take out husband Robert while vacationing at his family’s home in the sun-drenched Abaco Islands, part of the Bahamas.
She must wear a GPS ankle monitor, adhere to an 8 p.m. curfew and report to police three times a week.
‘Lindsay is angry that the case has been postponed. She just doesn’t feel safe in the Bahamas anymore,” the friend added.
‘All she wants is to clear her name as quickly as possible so she can go back to her boys. The boys need their mother too and miss her just as much.’
Shiver’s alleged murder-for-hire scheme arose by chance when Bahamian police began investigating a burglary at Grabbers, a waterfront bar near Baker’s Bay, an A-list luxury resort where Robert’s family has a vacation home.
The thief had cut the power cables and turned off the generator to ensure the security cameras wouldn’t work before looting a safe after the bar closed for the night on July 15.

The 36-year-old mother was seen leaving the Nassau Central Police Station after being released on $100,000 bail
Fearing the work of an insider, the officers insisted on looking at night manager Bethel’s phone and came across unrelated but supposedly suspicious messages between himself, his childhood friend Newbold and Shiver.
She allegedly sent Newbold a photo of Robert chatting pleasantly with a friend at Grabbers on the evening of July 16, along with a text message that said, “Kill him.”
Police warned Robert of the threats and he returned safely to the US, while Shiver was locked up for nearly three weeks in Nassau’s Fox Hill Prison, infamous for its overcrowded, grim conditions and rampant violence.
Just days ago, Shiver had $20,000 worth of jewelry stolen when a thief broke into her luxury apartment in the Bahamas while she slept, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed.
Shiver, 36, was home alone but had locked her bedroom door and did not wake up as the intruder searched the rented property for valuables.
The looted items included a LeMel diamond bracelet worth $15,000, a pair of gold rings — family heirlooms passed down to her by her grandmother and mother — and $200 in cash taken from the former Georgia beauty queen’s purse.
Mum-of-three Shiver only heard about Thursday evening’s raid when she got up the next day to find someone had rummaged through her clothes, bags and lingerie drawer.
Friends say she was shocked and upset by the burglary and will move to a location with 24-hour security.
