She wrote: ‘We got drunk on the plane. At one point Liam and I found ourselves in the bathroom together doing something he shouldn’t have been doing, and it wasn’t drugs. Then we were lying in a bed together.
“When we landed in Tokyo, Liam said to me, in his characteristic nasal drawl: ‘What are you doing now? Why don’t you come back to our hotel?’. I said: ‘Yeah, okay.'”
She added: ‘It wasn’t until the next day when he said something like ‘No one can know about this because of Nic’, that I realised he was married.
“I knew Noel was married and that Liam had been married to Patsy Kensit. That’s partly why I liked him.”
Despite hoping the secret romance would never come to light, Nicole discovered the truth six months later and Liam asked Lily to lie to his wife.
The Fear singer explained that the hitmaker “sounded horrible, like he’d been up all night” when he said he needed her to tell Nicole that their night of passion had been “shit.”
