In April last year, Lily said she was “very happy” because “an ab appeared” after nine months of tee total.
Fast forward to this January, the singer marked an 18-month milestone of sobriety, after speaking candidly about her past struggles with addiction.
The star, who married Stranger Things actor David in Las Vegas last year, was outspoken about her addiction battle and has now celebrated the milestone since she quit drinking, drugs and cigarettes.

In posts on her Instagram, Lily shared an image of the key fob given to mark important dates handed out by the Narcotics Anonymous support group, as well as a selfie of her holding the key ring in front of her eye.
Lily’s gray keychain read, ‘Eighteen months clean and serene,’ and she shared a photo holding the token next to a flowing caption: ’18 months clean and sober today. Would recommend! ‘

After her weight gained to the 14th, the 5 ′ 2 begon star began taking a drug similar to speed to shed pounds before the tour, but this sent her into a tailspin and left her arguing about taking heroin to help her ‘act’.

She then turned to drugs for weight loss. Lily said, ‘I started taking a drug that seems like speed for weight loss and I became addicted to this drug because it made me feel invincible. And then I ended up touring America in support of Miley Cyrus …
It was when she was doing Wrecking Ball – it was a very sexualized tour. I had just pushed babies out for the past three years. It couldn’t have been less how I felt. ‘
Lily went on to share how her relationship with husband David has changed her life for the better.
She said: ‘I have a very happy relationship. Really healthy relationship. He’s sober, he’s been sober for 20 years now – we’re thinking about what we’re going to do with the rest of our lives …
‘I feel like … I felt like I really needed to prove people wrong in the past and that people had all these preconceptions about who I was, as now I wake up in the morning and interact with my children and make them feel loved and protected. ‘
