Lily ventured into the world of acting and made her television debut in the new comedy series alongside co-star and Doctor Who alum Freema Agyeman.
Based on Sharon Horgan’s BAFTA Award-winning short film of the same name, the series explores the dysfunctional dynamics of a multigenerational family.
Lily plays the fourth sister, Mel, who returns unexpectedly. Older sister Trish was played by Freeman.
The other two sisters are taken by Gabby Best and Peaky Blinders’ Aimee-Ffion Edwards. Frances Barber plays her mother, while Sheila Reed plays Elnan.
Lilly appeared on This Morning on Wednesday to talk about her new show, and said, “I felt lighter and more positive than I’ve ever felt in my life.”

It’s strange. My life has changed a lot. I’m clean and sober for four years, I’ve got a new husband, and we’re getting our lives in order in America,” she said.
After making her theatrical debut in 2:22: A Ghost Story in 2021, Lily recently told how she was more confident than nervous to take her first steps in television.
I told times: “I start doing new things and try to work my way out of whatever box I’m put into.
The idea of failure is what makes it so ticklish for me. You know, “God, I could be so bad and everyone might hate me.” And this is actually very exciting – because I’m sick.
