Earlier in the day, Sportico reported that the NBA is on track to break attendance and sellout records.

At the All-Star break, attendance was up 2 percent from last season, and the 524 sellouts are on pace to surpass the record of 791, according to the report.

Both records were set in 2022-23, when total attendance reached 22.2 million.

Jonathan Tillman, the league’s head of team marketing and business operations, told Sportico that the season-opening tournament and tight positions in the Western Conference have increased the number of fans passing through the turnstiles.
