Rapper Lil Durk has broken his silence after his 10-year-old son allegedly shot his stepfather during a domestic dispute.
Lil Durk, whose real name is Durk Banks and has 10 children (five girls and five boys), made a cryptic comment on X early Monday morning.
“Save that money for those kids, kids, kids, kids, kids,” she tweeted, in a possible reference to the drama her son appeared to be at the center of.
Joshua Pippens shared surveillance footage of the moment he was allegedly shot by his stepson, who is believed to have been protecting his mother.
Since then, he has been sharing several updates on social media, including an explosive claim that the boy who allegedly shot him and two others has been removed from his mother’s care.

An Indiana Department of Child Services document released by Pippens suggests the agency has recommended that the boy’s mother, Travonna Collier, no longer be allowed to care for the child.
In the meantime, it has been recommended that Pippens and Lil Durk, the child’s biological father, be allowed unsupervised visits with the child.
Despite ending up in the hospital and needing surgery, Pippens has since said that He still loves the child as if he were his own.
“I still love him like he’s my own,” she wrote in a post explaining how the incident occurred.
“I had the gun on my hip and was trying to protect myself from getting shot,” he said.
“As you can see, I was not the aggressor,” Pippens said. “And you can also see that I still had my gun on my hip. He took my gun from my hip following his mother’s example and tried to shoot me and then he actually shot me.
“Never in a million years did I think a kid that I bought 4 wheelers for and paid for soccer leagues and everything would do this but he only knows what his mom shows him. I still love him like he’s my own,” Pippens wrote in an Instagram story.
Pippens also suggested that the argument involving him and the boy’s mother may have been over custody arrangements over a child the couple shares.
Joshua Pippens, the boy’s stepfather, has been posting about the incident on social media.
Pippens has spoken from his hospital bed telling social media users that he was not the aggressor and that the boy was simply following his mother’s orders.
“Whatever makes you feel better. That’s why I have custody of my kids and she doesn’t. All of you netizens think I was the one who shot and not her,” he wrote.
“Listen, nobody’s going to jail or they’d be there already. I’m doing this for the rights I have over my kids. Call me what you want. And besides, this was in my mom’s house, in front of my mom, my grandma and other kids. I pray that all of you get through whatever God is going to put you through for messing with me,” Pippens added.
The Indiana Department of Child Services document provides more details about how the July 1 fight unfolded when the boy returned to Pippens’ mother’s home shortly before 9 p.m.
When the boy arrived, both Collier and Pippens were already arguing outside the house, so the boy urged his mother to stop fighting.
The boy then got out of the car and pushed Pippens, according to the document.
Amid the altercation, the boy, seen in red, allegedly points what appears to be a gun at Pippens, who is wearing the orange jersey.
The video then cuts to the argument continuing in the middle of the street as the boy allegedly fires the gun.
The teen confirmed to police that both Collier and Pippens had guns, “but hers didn’t go off.”
The boy told officers that Pippens had been trying to take the gun away from Collier before explaining how his stepfather’s gun fell to the ground during the fight.
The boy admitted in the document that he took the gun and shot Pippens to protect Collier, his mother.
The boy later said he was afraid he would be shot.
When asked by police if there had been domestic violence in the past, the boy told officers that the two yelled at each other a lot.
An Indiana Department of Child Services document also posted online by Pippens suggests the agency recommended that the boy’s mother, Travonna Collier, pictured, no longer be allowed to care for the child.
She said her mother “got very angry, very quickly.”
In the video, Pippens, dressed in orange, can be seen trying to restrain the boy’s mother, dressed in purple.
In the midst of the altercation, the boy, wearing a red T-shirt and shorts, points what appears to be a gun directly at Pippens.
The video then cuts out and the fight spills from the sidewalk into the middle of the street as the couple continues to argue.
The boy then points the gun at Pippens as a single shot is heard.
Pippens can then be seen falling to the ground after being hit by a bullet.
