There's no doubt that 20-year-old Robert Irwin is the son of the late wildlife warrior Steve, but a resurfaced photo has fans shocked. Both appear in the photo

There is no doubt that Robert Irwin is the son of the late wildlife warrior Steve.

And a resurfaced snap has fans doing a double take.

In 2019, 20-year-old Robert recreated an iconic photograph of his father feeding Australia Zoo’s most dangerous crocodile, ‘Murray’.

In the image, the teenager bears an eerie resemblance to Steve, dressed in the same Australia Zoo uniform: khaki shorts and matching shirt.

The photo shows Robert dangerously close to the dangerous animal, as does Steve.

A social media user shared the comparison on Facebook again on Wednesday.

“Steve Irwin and his son. Same place, same croc, 15 years apart,” the post read, alongside the caption, “God, Steve was a fucking legend!!!”

Fans were quick to share their thoughts on the comparison.

“I would be so proud x,” commented one fan.

“Australian icons,” wrote another, while a third noted: “Dad looks calm, son looks worried.”

Steve, known as ‘The Crocodile Hunter’, was tragically killed when a stingray attacked him on 4 September 2006 at Batt Reef, near Port Douglas in Far North Queensland.
