The hosts of Australia’s No. 1 women’s podcast have weighed in on the ongoing Jonah Hill texting scandal.
The Superbad actor was recently accused of sending “emotionally abusive” text messages to his ex-girlfriend Sarah Brady, who has been posting the year-old messages on social media all week.
Discussing the issue, Life Uncut’s Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne sided with Brady, criticizing Hill for masking their relationship rules as ‘boundaries’.
“It’s not limits, it’s a rule book that he’s given him,” Byrne said, calling Hill’s behavior “manipulative.”
“If those texts are real, then it is very problematic,” he added.
Laura Byrne and Brittany Hockley of Australia’s number 1 women’s podcast Life Uncut have weighed in on the Jonah Hill texting scandal.

The Superbad actor was accused of sending ’emotionally abusive’ text messages to his ex-girlfriend Sarah Brady, who has been posting the year-old messages on social media all week.
Sharing his two cents, Hockley said: “This is gaslighting, this is manipulation, coercion, this is control.”
Although the couple criticized the Hollywood star, they also explained that his behavior stemmed “from his own insecurities” with self-esteem and body image, which Hill has been open about in the past.
“It’s very easy to paint people as one-dimensional and paint them as an evil person, but I think it’s interesting to find out where this kind of behavior comes from,” Byrne said.
“Jonah Hill has been in the media for a long time and there’s always been discussion about his weight, there’s always been discussion about the way he looks,” he continued.
“And he’s been very public about insecurities that he has as a person,” Byrne said, adding that Hill suffers from “self-hatred.”
Agreeing, Hockley said: “The way he’s been treated by the media over the years is horrible.”
She added: “No one deserves the level of body shaming that they have experienced and have spoken about it openly.”

“It’s not limits, it’s a rule book that he’s given him,” Byrne said, calling Hill’s behavior “manipulative.”

Hill’s ex-girlfriend sent the internet rocking when she took to social media to call the actor a “misogynist” and a “narcissist” by sharing alleged text messages from the star this week.
And now, the 26-year-old surf instructor has revealed why she waited until her new girlfriend gave birth before posting the alleged receipts.
Brady took to Instagram on Sunday to post a voice memo explaining that the timing of his posts was out of respect for the pregnancy of Jonah’s girlfriend, Olivia Millar, 39.
She could be heard saying: ‘I didn’t want to [Millar] having to see all this while she was pregnant because she didn’t know what kind of stress it would cause her and her baby physically.’

“It’s very easy to paint people as one-dimensional and paint them as an evil person, but I think it’s interesting to find out where this kind of behavior comes from,” Byrne said.
The surf instructor went on to say that she knows “the timing may seem bad,” but hopes Millar has seen the posts to “make an informed decision about how she wants to care for herself and her baby.”
“I just hope she gets some of these screenshots somehow through friends, like friends of mine that I met through him and I know they’re good people that I know would go out of their way to protect her.”
This comes just one day after Brady criticized the Superbad star for using Instagram to share messages allegedly sent by him that appear to reveal their past arguments.
Hill’s alleged texts show him describing his parameters for a ‘romantic partnership’. The two dated in 2021 for about a year.
It comes less than a month after news broke that the filmmaker welcomed a baby boy with girlfriend Olivia Millar.
DailyMail.com contacted Hill’s representative for comment.

In a post on the Life Uncut Instagram account, Brittany and Laura shared a message about “personal boundaries.”
The release of damning statements against the movie producer began with an Instagram Stories post that Brady shared with the caption: “Fuck it.”
The screenshot showed two messages purportedly from Jonah on December 2, 2021.
Jonah’s seemingly lengthy initial text included a list of unacceptable behavior from Sarah if they were to be together romantically.
The new father allegedly mentioned things like ‘surfing with men’, ‘inappropriate friendships with men’ and ‘posting pictures of yourself in a bathing suit’ that were off limits to his then-girlfriend.
He further stated that if Sarah ‘needed’ to be a ‘model’, ‘post sexual photos’ or maintain friendships with women who were part of her ‘wild recent past’, then he was ‘not the right match’ for her.

“The way he’s been treated by the media over the years is horrible,” Hockley said of Hill.
In another post of their alleged messages, Brady claimed that Hill only wanted her to socialize with friends whom he had “personally approved of.”
The animator, whose documentary Stutz premiered on Netflix last year, added: “If these things lead you to a place of happiness, I support it and there will be no hard feelings.” These are my limits for a romantic relationship.
She then clarified: “My boundaries with you are based on the ways in which these actions have damaged our trust.”
Sarah wrote online to her nearly 80,000 followers: “Do you see the misuse of the term ‘limits’?”
Brady spun her posts as a “warning to all the girls out there.”
“If your partner is talking to you like that, make an exit plan,” she captioned a screenshot that appeared to show Hill complaining about social media photos showing her “thong butt.”

Brady slammed Hill’s text messages all over Instagram, calling them a form of ‘misogyny’
After Brady appeared to have pointed out that he had deleted some of the allegedly offensive photos, the Wolf Of Wall Street star appeared to tell his then-girlfriend that it was a “good start” but that he “seemed not to get” her point. .
But it is not for me to teach you. I have made my limits clear,’ he stated. You refuse to let go of some of them and you have made that clear and I hope it makes you happy.
Brady maintained that her ex-boyfriend’s criticisms were made in an attempt to control her.
She explained that she agreed to his requests in an attempt to prevent him from experiencing “crippling anxiety.”
Interacting with her fans, Sarah admitted: “It’s been a year of healing and growing with the help of loved ones and doctors to get back to living my life without guilt, shame and self-criticism over things as little as surfing in a bathing suit.” than a more conservative wetsuit.
She continued: “And I’m sure I still have a lot more to heal from this abuse.”

The couple used to coordinate their outfits regularly before their romance turned sour.
The former duo first went public with their romance in August 2021 after their connection was ignited when Jonah reached out to her online.
On Friday, Sarah said she was “sharing this publicly now because keeping it to myself was doing more damage to my mental health than sharing it could.”
He also explained that he used to take the “blame” for Hill’s actions when they talked to his therapist.
In part of her tirade against her ex, the athlete noted: “I hope my ex has a daughter, maybe she will make him a real feminist.”
‘Because the fact that he now calls himself a feminist is laughable. … If I could have one wish for him, it would be for him to be surrounded by feminist men who can hold him accountable for growing up the way he has expressed that he wants to.”
The law student went on to say, “I think fame can put people in an echo chamber of viewpoints, which can enable emotionally abusive behavior.”
