A secretly filmed video of Donald Trump attacking Kamala Harris has been seized upon by liberals claiming it captures him calling his presidential rival a “bitch.”
The Republican candidate was sitting next to his son Barron in a golf cart when he stopped to chat with some players at one of his courses on July 2.
When one of them posted the images hours later, most viewers believed they heard the former president say of Harris: “She’s so bad, she’s so pathetic, she’s so f***ing bad.”
But the footage is coming under renewed scrutiny following hostile claims in the NYT over the weekend that Trump routinely refers to Harris in private as a “bitch.”
“Great role model for calling the Vice President of the United States and his new opponent in front of his teenage son Baron a fucking bitch,” liberal commentator Gretchen Carlson tweeted.
Donald Trump was caught on video giving his honest and heartfelt thoughts about Kamala Harris, with his son Barron riding as co-pilot alongside him.
Veteran commentator Gretchen Carlson was among those who claimed Trump can be heard calling Harris a “bitch” in the secretly recorded footage.
Others have jumped on the bandwagon, including prominent LGBTQ rights activist Marlene Robertson, who insisted the footage records the former president “loudly and clearly calling her a bitch.”
But the then-Biden-Harris 2024 campaign responded to the footage by criticizing Trump for calling Harris “so f***ing bad,” and new claims about what he said have led some to demand that Democrats get their hearing checked.
“Why are you lying when people can clearly hear you say ‘bad’?” one demanded.
“You are literally fake news,” wrote another. “Shame on you and everyone who supports you.”
“The man may have called her that, or perhaps worse, but he doesn’t do it in this tape and it terrifies me how many people repeat the lie,” added a third.
The video reveals that Trump was convinced Biden would resign nearly three weeks before the president announced he would step down.
Speaking days after Biden’s disastrous performance against him in the first presidential debate, Trump asked golfers: “How did I do in the debate the other night?”
Without waiting for an answer he says: ‘I kicked that pile of old, broken junk.
“He’s dropping out of the race. I took him out of the race and that means we have Kamala.
The liberal New York Times newspaper claimed that Trump routinely refers to Kamala Harris as a “bitch” and has expressed puzzlement at the improvement in Democrats’ popularity ratings since she won the nomination.
Most people who heard the video were incredulous at the suggestion that Trump used the misogynistic statement while speaking on the golf course.
“I think it’s going to get better. It’s so bad. It’s so pathetic, it’s so fucking bad.”
“Can you imagine that guy dealing with Putin and the president of China, who is a fierce person? He is a fierce man. A very tough guy.”
He NYT Profile suggested Trump was eager to challenge Biden and was baffled by the improvement in Democrats’ ratings since Harris took office.
“Trump had felt comfortable campaigning against an 81-year-old sitting president who had difficulty climbing stairs, thinking and speaking,” wrote journalist Maggie Haberman.
‘Suddenly, she finds herself in a race against a black woman nearly 20 years younger, one who has already made history and is drawing large, enthusiastic crowds.’
Haberman noted that Trump has publicly referred to Harris as “nasty” and claimed that two members of his inner circle told her they had heard him repeatedly refer to his new opponent as a “bitch” in private.
But she said her mood improved after she chose Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate instead of Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, who she feared could hand the crucial state to Democrats in the November election.
Yashar Ali of the liberal Huffington Post admitted that Trump was not recorded using the term
The former president has not held back in his attacks on the former California attorney general, accusing her of destroying the state and questioning her racial identity with claims that she “turned black” when it was politically convenient.
But he has been relaxed about the secretly recorded video, even going so far as to post it on his platform Truth Social.
And his campaign team has denied that he ever called his opponent a bitch.
“That’s not the language President Trump has used to describe Kamala, and it’s not how the campaign would characterize her,” campaign spokesman Steven Cheung said.
