Democrats are abandoning everything from cherry-colored clothing to nails after the election, saying they can’t stand the color anymore because it’s associated with the Republican Party.
Los Angeles-based queer content creators Kirstie Pike and Christine Diaz shared a video with their 529,000 followers that showed them buying and rejecting all the crimson clothing.
“POV: Seeing the color red makes you sick,” they wrote about the video, captioning it, “I don’t want to be associated with the color red anymore.”
It’s not just the beauty brands you use and the designers you wear that could reveal your political affiliation, but also the shade of your favorite clothing.

‘I refuse to wear red anymore. Now I hate the color red!’ one outraged commenter agreed.
“Wearing black because I’m in an official mourning period of probably four years,” another woman said.
I will never wear red again! “I’m even angry about the red heart emoji,” one woman stated, which was a popular sentiment.
“I had to get rid of all my red clothes, accessories, etc.,” one person announced.
‘You and me both. I already cleaned out my entire closet and I will never buy another red item of clothing again. I’ve been wearing all blue in my closet lately and I like it,” said one commenter.
Other women talked about colors they were changing to red, including forest and emerald green.
‘Yesterday I did my nails with this super pretty red. Then the connected red made me nauseous, I immediately wiped it off and put on a purple and blue accent nail,” said one commenter.
Many commentators agreed that they would ditch their crimson manicures after the election.

content creator christinawho is from Buffalo, New York and now lives in Ohio, made a video and asked, ‘What color nails are we wearing for the holidays?’ explaining that she’s always been a red girl, “but now it’s basically against my religion.”
“The color red is dead to me,” Kristin joked in the video’s caption, before showing that she opted for black nail polish and said she would be wearing the shade for the foreseeable future.
Some women said they went with the moody OPI Lincoln Park After Dark.
Others said they chose forest green, with one woman saying she opted for a “French manicure with a solid blue on her middle finger.”
“Anything red is out for the foreseeable future,” said one woman. “I’m thinking black like the darkness that lives in my soul.”
‘I’m so upset that red is ruined right now. I love dark red colors, but I can’t do it,” another woman agreed.
