Liam Payne spent his last birthday “doing what he loved” with a trip to bowling with his loving parents and girlfriend Kate Cassidy, just weeks before his tragic death.
The singer, who turned 31 on August 29, jumped 45 feet from the third floor into the courtyard of the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires on Thursday, and his grieving loved ones revealed they had left “heartbroken” for the loss.
Liam spent his big day with his family and friends, including his parents Karen and Geoff and his sister Nicola and Ruth on a trip to Manchester and are said to have later stayed with the singer at the city’s posh Stock Exchange Hotel, owned from Gary. Neville and Ryan Giggs.
The late singer took to Snapchat during the celebrations and joked with his followers that his security guard would be fired if he beat him at bowling again.
In the clip, Liam was complaining that “nothing rhymes with 31” until Kate suggested “dirty 31?”, and laughing he replied: “No, it’s dirty 30, I’m over it.”

A source said the sun: ‘Liam was with his mother in Manchester, where they celebrated his birthday with his family.
‘They were still incredibly close and enjoyed spending time together bowling. Liam’s family stayed with him for a few days at the Stock Exchange Hotel.
“It’s tragic to think that ended up being the last time they would celebrate their special day with him.”
Liam’s grieving family revealed they were “heartbroken” by his death, adding that the former One Direction star will “live forever in our hearts.”
Their statement read: ‘We are heartbroken. Liam will forever live in our hearts and we will remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul. “We support each other as best we can as a family and ask for privacy and space at this terrible time.”
Liam’s uncle Roger Harris also told MailOnline: “We are all deeply saddened and trying to come to terms with it.” I just hope everyone gives them some privacy and lets them accept it. That’s all I can say.
Another relative speaking at Payne’s family home in Wolverhampton, the town where he was born and raised, told MailOnline: “We are completely devastated by the news.”
A source said: “Liam was with his mum in Manchester where they celebrated his birthday with his family.”

Liam was raised in Wolverhampton by his mother Karen, a nurse, and his father Geoff, a fitter.
Nine weeks ago, Geoff posted a sweet picture of his son and dog while writing the caption: ‘#Likeifyoulovemyson!’ – a post that has since been inundated with messages of condolence to his family.
Neighbors said Payne’s parents left their £600,000 four-bedroom detached house last night around midnight, while Nicola and Ruth were seen entering the property at 9am this morning.
A local resident, who did not want to be named, said: “They were seen leaving in a hurry last night around midnight, but I’m not sure if they were carrying bags.”
‘You can’t imagine what they are going through. I know Liam liked to come back here when he could. They will be completely heartbroken because they were so close.
‘His hometown always had a place in his heart. The community is going to be devastated. I think the sisters are there now. Your heart is with them.’
A second neighbor said: “I think they left last night around 12 noon.” The parents are not here. All I can say is my deepest condolences.’
They are said to have stayed with the singer at the posh Stock Exchange Hotel owned by Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs.

A third added: “It’s very, very sad.” They are such a nice family. I’m a big fan of Liam and when he came back for Christmas he would wave back to me when I passed by.
“You knew it was him because he came with Cheryl in his black Lamborghini.”
Payne grew up on a road in Bushbury, Wolverhampton, before his big break with the X Factor.
Although the family no longer lives on the street, residents said they still remembered the Paynes and spoke of their sadness.
One resident said: ‘My wife knew the family reasonably well when they lived here and always accompanied them when they lived here.
“I can’t even begin to imagine how his family is feeling right now as it must be so horrible to receive the news that their son has died.
“People here remember the family and I think there’s a sense of shock right now.”
Another resident said he remembered seeing Payne and his sister playing in the street near the house.
He said: “It’s just horrible to hear about Liam and a family losing a child.”
