‘That is not to say that those circumstances would never arise.’
It came after Noel showed no signs of squashing the feud with his brother, having reportedly formed a surprise friendship with Peter Kay.
The musician has reportedly become close with the comedian, 49, who called Liam a ‘k**bhead’ at the 2010 BRIT Awards.
Having attended the comedian’s recent concert in Manchester, it has been claimed that Noel hit it off with Liam’s nemesis Peter after they met backstage.
said a source Sun: ‘Noel went to Peter’s concert in Manchester last week and they ran into each other backstage and hit it off like a house on fire.
“They spent time together after the show and it was a lot of fun. Peter is a big fan of Noel and it was a pleasure for him to welcome him.
“Noel surprised some of the arena goers who had no idea he was making an appearance.”
MailOnline has contacted representatives for Noel and Peter for comment.

Peter’s feud with Liam stems from a stage encounter at the BRITs.
Picking up the gong for Best 30 Year Old Album for 1995’s (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?, the Oasis star cursed his acceptance speech, before tossing his microphone and award into the audience.
In his acceptance speech, the frontman thanked the early members of the band, with the exception of his older brother, Noel, who left the group last summer.
Arriving alone on stage, he yelled into the microphone, ‘Listen up kids. I want to thank Bonehead, Guigsy and Alan White. The best band in the fucking world. Live for ever.’

Strange! Peter’s feud with Liam stems from an onstage encounter at the BRITs.

A furious Liam later tweeted: “Listen fat f**k like a true Northerner I was raised to say 2 peoples faces not behind their backs.” Live forever LG.’
Peter wrote on his website the next day: “So last night it was the British and I was honored to be asked to host the show, especially being 30 years old.”
“Congratulations to all the winners, including Noel Gallagher, who sadly didn’t get a mention (and who is thankfully no fool).”
Most recently, Liam showed that the feud was still going on when asked if he would attend one of Peter’s comeback concerts and said: “Fuck the balloon knot.”
