Lewis Capaldi has revealed he plans to take some more time off after steadily losing his voice during an emotional set at Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage.
The Brit Award-winning singer, 26, took the step earlier this month to cancel all his other June commitments ahead of the festival at Worthy Farm to give himself time to ‘rest and recuperate’.
During the second half of his set, he struggled so much with his voice that the audience had to help him sing his song to him.
Lewis said: “I’m really sorry, this is annoying.
“You all came out and I’m really sorry.”
The singer struggled through the loss of his voice and numerous ticks after recently being diagnosed with Gilles de la Tourette while performing on the main stage.
After performing Hold Me While You Wait, he apologized and admitted that he was annoyed with himself – but the audience responded by cheering him on and singing “Oh, Lewis Capaldi”.
