GOOD MORNING GREAT BRITAIN

As the week began, the Good Morning Britain hosts were some of the first stars to pull off a prank, with mixed reviews for the silly start.

Presenter Charlotte Hawkins was seen modeling a pearl necklace, supposedly owned by Marilyn Monroe, however she was seen dropping the beads.

As the pearls made their way around the studio, co-host Richard Madeley was seen pondering whether the scene was a joke or actually a mistake.

Unimpressed viewers flooded Twitter, writing: “I saw it coming from a mile away, unfortunately gmb did it this morning with Marilyn Monroe’s pearl necklace so…

‘Boring and unfunny… as if anyone would have believed that the ugly, fat pearl necklace belonged to Marilyn Monroe…

‘The image of her pearls was small and delicate, an ugly, fat plastic thing that was placed around the presenter’s neck and then broken…

‘Lord, we did better on April 1st at school… Oh come on Richard, when you said that and then looked at the camera, I knew it was an April Fools’ prank…

‘Next year, if you’re still working, DO NOT look at the camera…’ The photo of the pearls around her neck was small and the GMB pearls were bigger. Huge huge mistake.’

Following the nonsense on Good Morning Britain, the stars of This Morning decided to get in on the prank, with presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary leading the way.
