- L’Equipe praised the displays of United defenders Alex Telles and Victor Lindelof
- But the French outlet was not impressed by superstars Neymar and Mbappé
French outlet L’Equipe has praised Manchester United stars Victor Lindelof and Alex Telles as they helped PSG 2-1 in their Champions League opener on Tuesday night.
The late winner of Marcus Rashford provided a perfect start to the Red Devils’ European campaign, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men launched a solid defensive strike to keep the top stars of the French giants still.
Known for giving tough player ratings, L’Equipe gave Swedish center-back Lindelof a seven out of ten, the highest score of all eleven players on the field, while newcomer Telles got the same.
But they were scathing about some of the hosts’ performances, which United made ‘unrecognizable’.
Kylian Mbappe and Neymar were expected to revolt against the struggling Premier League side, but both were chained and both scored a four.
