RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose has pledged support to striker André Silva despite his goal crisis.
“You have a phase like that as a striker,” said Rose before the game against FC Augsburg on Saturday (3:30 p.m. / Sky) in the Bundesliga. Silva knows “that he also has the trust of everyone here”. Nevertheless, Silva had to reward herself again to get a better feeling, Rose explained. In the current Bundesliga season, Silva has four goals in 27 games.
According to a report by “Bild”, the 27-year-old’s consulting agency is already looking for a new club. “We don’t comment on rumours,” Rose said. “André makes a good impression here every day. He’s always there for the team.”
Since moving from Eintracht Frankfurt to Leipzig in the summer of 2021, Silva had not been able to build on his goal quota from previous times. Leipzig have already signed 19-year-old Benjamin Šeško from RB Salzburg for the coming season.
