When asked what she learned from her latest heartbreak, Leigh-Anne admitted that she’s still with the person who broke her heart.
She said: “I learned the power of forgiveness. I’m still with the person who broke my heart and he did everything he could to change for me.”
‘I think if you can actually get to the other side and get through it, it’s all worth it.
‘Some people might say, well, why are you still with them? or why are you still giving them another chance? I guess that can be seen as weakness and not putting yourself first, but I think only you know what’s really right for you.’
Leigh-Anne went on to say that the couple have overcome “struggles” and are now in a “really beautiful place.”
She continued: ‘If that person can really show that they want to change – you can’t change someone, but if they’re trying hard to change themselves, I really think that tells you everything you need to know.
“In my personal case, I had to go through all these struggles and things in our relationship to get to the point where we are now, which is a really beautiful place.”
The “Don’t Say Love” singer also added that it’s “okay” to forgive someone and that it doesn’t have to seem “weak” as it can be “healing.”
Leigh-Anne said: ‘It’s okay to give someone another chance, but it’s not okay to let someone make fun of you.
‘Make sure you have those barriers up to protect yourself and know when enough is enough.

“You need to be hurt in order to build up a kind of armor that allows you to think, ‘I’m not going to go through that again.’ Don’t see forgiveness as something to be done in a weak way, it can be a very powerful and healing thing.”
This comes after Leigh-Anne spoke openly about her rocky relationship with Andre last year.
She revealed that “he still had a lot of growing to do” in their early relationship and cryptically discussed how people deal with being cheated on by their partner.
She said Glamour Magazine:’I think people often think that if something bad happens in a relationship (if you get cheated on or whatever) it’s automatically over, it’s over and that’s fair, but in my case, I chose to work on it and I’m so happy I did.’
Leigh-Anne attributed some of her early struggles to toxic masculinity within the football industry while hinting at her past difficulties.
She continued: “Unfortunately, I think a big part of it was his environment and the stereotype that came with it, in my case, I found that to be quite true, but I’ve seen him grow up and we’ve come a long way.”
“When you know you have something special, you want to fight for it. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work, but if it does, my God, you feel great,” he added.
