Lego’s new Jurassic Park sets include a big pile of Lego dino poop

Five new Lego sets celebrating the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park‘s theater premiere will recreate key moments from the blockbuster, and that includes the grinning dino doo-doo scene where Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) discovers a triceratops with an upset tummy that paws through its dung, looking for answers.

Lego Jurassic Park Triceratops Research, available for €49.99, includes the dinosaur, a park jeep, Dr. Sattler and Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) and a big old pile of brown bricks. If it wasn’t clear enough what that is, Dr. Malcolm carries a poop scooper with him. This set should delight 8 year olds of all ages. See for yourself:

This isn’t the first time Lego has included Lego excrement in one of its sets. In fact, far from it, like Kotaku meticulously documented last fall. Lego part 6275030a classic poop swirl reminiscent of the well-known poop emoji has appeared in Lego sets for Friends And The office, was an accessory for a dog walker minifig, and even was the ammunition for a fortress catapult.

The dino dump is just one highlight of a five-set product line, all on sale June 1 through Lego and major retailers. The others are pretty neat in their own right:

• #76961 Lego Jurassic Park Visitor Center: T. rex & Raptor Attack: Fans can recreate the closing throw from the original Jurassic Park, where a T. rex recalls those upstart velociraptors who were in charge when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. There’s even a “When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth” banner that will fall down when you press the trigger, just like in the movie. The $129.99 set consists of 693 pieces and includes six minifigs: Dr. Sattler, dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill); Dr. Wu (BD Wong); Ray Arnold (Mr. Hold-Onto-Your-Butts, Samuel L. Jackson); Lex (Ariana Richards) and Tim Murphy (Joseph Mazzello).

• #76959 Lego Jurassic Park Dilophosaurus Ambush: Another memorable sequence rendered in bricks. While trying to escape the island with some stolen dinosaur embryos, Dennis Nedry (Wayne Knight) is accosted by a Dilophosaurus for a gory kissing session in the front seat of his jeep. 211 pieces, one minifig (Newman), $19.99.

• #76960 Lego Jurassic Park Brachiosaurus Discovery: Millions of parents were thankful for this iconic scene, which they relied on to finally get their kids to eat their broccoli. The graceful goose-necked brachiosaurus chews on a treetop, much to the astonishment of minifigs Dr. Grant, dr. Sattler and John Hammond (Richard Attenborough). Just like Hammond, you spare no expense for this 512-piece set. (OK, it’s $74.99.)

• #76957 Lego Jurassic Park Velociraptor Escape: Billed as a starter set for Lego fans aged 4 and up, this set recreates a bird of prey pen where Dr. Sattler and Dr. Grant feeds the creatures (a hot dog and a turkey leg, it looks like) before the dinos break out and cause hell. Includes the two minifigures and an ATV for a quick getaway, $39.99.
