Bill Belichick has landed a new role in the NFL six months after an emotional farewell to the New England Patriots.
Belichick, 72, ended his iconic tenure as Patriots head coach after 24 seasons in January.
However, following his departure from New England, the eight-time Super Bowl winner did not land another coaching job in the league for the 2024-25 season, and all seven vacancies were filled by other candidates.
He has therefore been forced to make the transition to television while he waits for his next opportunity, with ESPN’s Pat McAfee Show and The Manningcast with Peyton Manning already reaching deals to recruit him as an analyst.
And with just a few months left until the new season begins, the legendary coach has landed a new job in the NFL.

Belichick will also serve as an analyst for the Emmy-winning show “Inside the NFL” on The CW Network throughout the season, it was announced Thursday.
Joined by host and Super Bowl-winning safety Ryan Clark, Pro Bowl wide receiver Chad Johnson and two-time Super Bowl-winning defensive end Chris Long, he will analyze and break down the biggest talking points in the NFL on the weekly show, which begins Friday, August 30.
“I’m thrilled to join my new team at NFL Films and work on such a storied television franchise,” Belichick said. “I’ve always valued the depth of analysis on Inside the NFL and look forward to bringing the same in-depth perspective to The CW talking about real football with real pros Ryan, Chris and Chad this upcoming season.”

Belichick, who is currently dating Jordon Hudson, 24, is widely regarded as the greatest head coach in NFL history after masterminding six Super Bowl victories with the Patriots.

He also helped the New York Giants win two championships during his time as defensive coordinator.
The Patriots big man has dominated headlines over the past month after it was revealed that he is in a relationship with a cheerleader nearly 50 years his junior.
Belichick met Hudson on a flight to Florida in 2021, where they bonded over the former student-athlete’s philosophy project.
During the flight, Belichick even signed his now-girlfriend’s notebook, writing, “Jordon, thanks for giving me a logic course! Have a nice trip!”
They promised to stay in touch and their relationship eventually turned romantic when Belichick split from his longtime girlfriend, Linda Holliday, last September.
Now, less than a year later, the age-defying couple are known to be living together and have been spotted out in public on frequent occasions.
