Andrew Tate’s brother Tristan has taken to social media to criticize the decision to arrest and extradite him to the UK following the controversial influencer trial in Romania.

“They will do anything to put you in jail,” he wrote in quotes in X, before suggesting that he is being denied a trial in the country even though the criminal process is ongoing.

“Today is day 441 of my arrest,” he added, “I have a clean criminal record and I am a US citizen.”

The British-American brothers were first charged with rape and human trafficking in Romania in June last year, but their case is still being argued in the preliminary courtroom stages and no trial dates have yet been set. .

On Monday, they were arrested in Bucharest on behalf of Bedfordshire Police, who are investigating new sexual assault allegations against them, and yesterday a court ruled they could be sent back to the UK once their trial in Romania ends.

In court yesterday, Andrew Tate insisted he and his brother are “very innocent men.”

Both Andrew Tate, 37, and Tristan, 35, “unequivocally deny” the allegations of rape and human trafficking dating back to 2012-2015, for which the European Arrest Warrant was issued.

Speaking to reporters outside the court after the ruling, Andrew Tate said: “I want to give full credit to the Romanian justice system for making the right decision today.”

In an unsubstantiated speech, he continued: “Unfortunately, I don’t think many people in Romania understand it, but in the West, in the countries that are owned by Satanists, when you reach a certain level of fame, you either put on a dress or you will go to the prison and I am happy to make my choice, which is prison every time, my soul is not for sale nor are my principles.

“We are very innocent men and in time everyone will realize that.”

“We are excited to finish this court process and clear our names.”

The brothers, who “categorically deny all charges,” will remain under judicial controls in Romania that prevent them from traveling outside the country.

Lawyers McCue Jury & Partners revealed they had tipped off British and Romanian authorities that Andrew Tate was planning to flee Romania.

The firm, which represents four women who have accused Tate of rape and sexual assault, said in a statement: “Last week we received information that Tate may have been planning to flee Romania, where he will be tried on separate allegations.” of rape and human trafficking.

“We have written to the British police to draw their attention to this and urge them to immediately seek a warrant for Tate’s arrest in Romania and his extradition to the UK.”

The intelligence is believed to have prompted Bedfordshire Police to act quickly and ask Westminster Magistrates’ Court to issue the European Arrest Warrant so the men could be detained.

Romanian authorities said in a statement that they executed "two European arrest warrants issued by the judicial authorities of the United Kingdom for the commission of sexual crimes and exploitation of persons on the territory of the United Kingdom"

A source told the Mail that the information was a video sent to authorities in Britain and Bucharest in which former kickboxer Tate said he was “planning to leave Romania”.

In the clip, blogger Adin Ross described how he had been in contact with Tate in recent days and had discussed his trip to Romania to film an interview with the billionaire.

Ross told his viewers: “This is coming to a head” before adding that Tate had told him: “Hey, I’m leaving Romania soon and I’m never coming back.”

Tate added, “So if you want to come see me, it’s basically now or never.”

The self-confessed misogynist appeared on Big Brother in 2016 but was later booted after a video emerged of him hitting a woman with a belt.

Social commentators and teachers have spoken out against his brand of extreme masculinity and sexism, which has attracted a cult following of millions among young men and schoolchildren.

The Tate brothers are currently banned from leaving Romania while they are under investigation and have been under house arrest since their initial arrest in December 2022.

But this condition was later removed on the condition that they remain in the country.

At Christmas, officials denied a request to leave Bucharest to visit his mother in Luton, who had suffered a heart attack.

Bedfordshire Police said: “As part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of rape and human trafficking, Bedfordshire Police have obtained a European Arrest Warrant for two men aged in their 30s.

“We are working with authorities in Romania as part of this investigation and will provide an update in due course.”
