As revealed transfermarkt.esDespite scoring 72 goals this season, the second most in the Premier League, Liverpool still struggle in attack.

The Reds have a conversion rate of 8.3%, putting them in the bottom half for chances converted in the league.

Ranking above them are Sheffield United, with a conversion rate of 8.4%, and Luton, with a conversion rate of 8.9%.

With Liverpool’s profligacy against Man United and Sheffield United’s impressive performance in front of goal against Chelsea, the Blades overtook Klopp’s men in conversion rate over the weekend.

Liverpool’s title rivals Arsenal and Man City sit above them, with the Gunners boasting the third-best conversion rate in the league at 11.2%. This is behind Newcastle and Aston Villa.

Man City’s conversion rate is 10.2%, still much higher than Liverpool’s as the end of the season approaches.

It is clear that the Reds must improve in front of goal if they are to win the league this season, and Darwin Nunez has received particular criticism for a series of missed opportunities in recent games.
