Leeds ‘launch talks’ with RB Salzburg’s Tyler Adams and Mohamed Camara as Kalvin Phillips nears exit
Leeds ‘in talks’ with RB Leipzig’s Tyler Adams and Salzburg’s Mohamed Camara… as football director Victor Orta tries to replace Kalvin Phillips by targeting midfielders at boss Jesse Marsch’s former clubs
Leeds, according to a report, has entered into talks with RB Leipzig’s Tyler Adams and RB Salzburg’s Mohamed Camara as possible replacements for Kalvin Phillips, who is moving to Manchester City.
England midfielder Phillips is expected to reach an agreement with City next week, after Leeds signed a £45m deal with the Premier League champions, leaving the Whites with a significant gap to fill for the 2022/23 season.
American Adams, who worked with Leeds boss Jesse Marsch at New York Red Bulls and Leipzig, is “high” on football director Victor Orta’s list, the YEP said.

Mali international Kamara also played for Marsch in the Austrian Bundesliga, although the outlet claims the 22-year-old would be a ‘more expensive’ option for Leeds.
Adams was used in almost all of his 36 appearances for the Bundesliga last season as a defensive midfielder, occasionally as a right winger and as a right-back, having worked as a substitute in previous seasons.
Kamara played the same number of appearances for the defense of Salzburg, scoring once and providing four assists for the Austrian champions.
Orta has already made a £26million bid for promising Brugge player Charles de Ketelaere, a left-footed attacker who can play behind a striker or on both wings and scored 15 goals for his club and Belgium last season.

Box-to-box City midfielder Darko Gyabi is coming to Leeds for £5million as an 18-year-old going forward, with Wolves’ Adama Traore and PSV sensation Cody Gakpo under consideration once Raphinha makes his anticipated departure.
De Ketelaere can offer Leeds versatility, who have also discussed Wolves’ Adama Traore and PSV Eindhoven’s Cody Gakpo to fill the void left by the expected sale of Raphinha.
Arsenal want Raphinha, but the Brazilian winger, estimated at £65million by Leeds, is awaiting a move to Barcelona.
Marsch is also looking to add a left-back and an experienced goalkeeper, with Watford’s Ben Foster as a possible option.
Leeds players who were not involved with internationals will return to Thorp Arch for training on Monday.
