LeAnn Rimes’ husband Eddie Cibrian was “incredibly proud” of his wife for speaking out about her experience with psoriasis.
The 47-year-old actor recently spoke Page six and discussed his wife’s appearance in last October’s Glamor edition, where she posed nude and showed the world the effects of the skin condition.
The Baywatch Nights actor told the media he hoped the 38-year-old’s openness about her battle with psoriasis would help those who are “ ashamed and want to hide it. ”

Cibrian also said he believed his wife’s magazine article would increase the self-esteem of those suffering from the condition and make them feel good about themselves.
“I think it helps them if they come to talk about it so openly, I think it helps them too,” he said.
In the Glamor article, Rimes spoke about how she felt embarrassed about having psoriasis and would often take drastic steps to hide its effects on her body.
‘When I was in public I did everything I could to hide it. On stage I often wore two tights or jeans – even at a temperature of 95 degrees. Under my shirt, my entire stomach would be covered with thick scales that would hurt and bleed, ”she recalled.

The How Do I Live singer also said the onset of the global pandemic was cruel to get through, and her condition worsened as a result.
“Stress is a common trigger for psoriasis, and with so much uncertainty, my flare-ups came right back,” noted the artist.
Rimes went on to talk about how she worked to keep herself in a healthy frame of mind while learning to accept her condition.
She said, ‘even though I opened up, I still hid it. And when you hide your physical body, so much rolls over into your emotional and spiritual mental health. ‘

The songwriter also noted that Cibrian has been supportive of her throughout their relationship and has been instrumental in keeping her self-esteem high.
Prior to this shoot, my husband looked at me like, “I don’t even see that,” which I clearly didn’t understand. I would think how can you not see it ?! It’s all over me! I think I see what he sees now, ”she recalled.
The couple first met while working on the set of the 2009 TV movie Northern Lights and became engaged the following year, with their wedding in 2011.
The couple received a lot of press coverage during the early stages of their relationship due to their unfaithfulness to their respective husbands.

The singer then filed for divorce from her husband and former backup singer Dean Sheremet, and Cibrian dissolved his marriage to reality TV star Brandi Glanville, with whom he shares two children.
During the Glamor article, Rimes concluded that she would continue to see psoriasis head-on and that every day was another opportunity to boost her self-esteem.
