Former Real Housewives of New York star Leah McSweeney lashed out at Mayor Eric Adams just one day after she threatened to leave the city over rising crime.

“This breaks my heart because New York City is the best city in the world, but it’s not safe right now, and it especially isn’t safe for women,” she said.
The designer and reality star said her teenage daughter recently received death threats on the subway.
He also revealed that he saw someone “smoking crack at 10 in the morning” in the middle of Times Square.

‘Just smoking crack on the street, not even trying to hide it!’ he told host Ainsley Earhardt.
Referring to the constant smell of marijuana that permeates the streets of New York, McSweeney said, “I feel like I’m getting high secondhand.”
He then directed his ire at local politicians, singling out Mayor Adams.
‘The worst thing is that politicians are criticizing us and telling us that it is actually safer than ever, and it is not. Sorry, there’s no way,’ he said.
‘I’m out there. I’m on the train. I’m walking. “It’s not safe,” McSweeney continued.
‘I hope things change, because like I said, this is the best city in the world, but the people in charge don’t care. Mayor Adams is at Zero Bond, he’s at Casa Cipriani. Help us.’
The star then said she was considering moving to Florida if things don’t change, and that she and her daughter Kier have already started looking at colleges in the Sunshine State.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the New York native detailed some of the horrors she had witnessed in the deteriorating metropolis.
“People smoke crack for breakfast in Times Square,” he told the camera as he trudged down one of New York’s dingy, dank streets.
“My daughter was also told by someone on the train that they were going to turn her into a pile of meat on the floor,” he continued.
McSweeney finished: “And I’m leaving New York as soon as possible.”
Posting on Instagram on Tuesday, the New York native, 41, detailed some of the horrors she had witnessed in the deteriorating metropolis.

McSweeney starred on The Real Housewives of New York City for two seasons (pictured) and also appeared on Love & Hip-Hop: New York.
The reality star and fashion designer was born in Manhattan and has spent her entire life in New York.
She appeared on Real Housewives of New York City and Love & Hip-Hop: New York and is a longtime fixture of the downtown New York social scene.
Despite his passion for the city, McSweeney has hinted over the past year that he is considering a move to Florida.
The Married to the Mob founder, who converted to Judaism in 2022, said last year: “I love New York, but Miami is growing on me.”
McSweeney’s revelation comes just days after fellow RHONY star Bethenny Frankel claimed she was beaten on the streets of the Big Apple.

“Guys, I was literally walking and a man came up and punched me in the face,” he said.
“My God, it was so bad I can’t even speak,” she added.

Last week, the NYPD arrested a second man accused of randomly punching women in the face on the streets of Manhattan.
The second suspect, Mallik Miah, 30, was arrested Thursday and charged with allegedly assaulting Mikayla Toninato, 27, in Greenwich Village in a broad daylight attack.
He has since been released on supervised release and has not been linked to any of the other attacks that women in the Big Apple have suffered in recent weeks.
Toninato took to her social media page immediately after the attack, which coincidentally occurred around the same time that influencer Halley Kate McGookin was also attacked.
McGookin’s alleged attacker, Skiboky Stora, 40, was arraigned in court last Thursday.
At least four other New York City women said they have also been subjected to seemingly random attacks in recent weeks.
