Lea Michele announced on Instagram Wednesday that her two-year-old son Ever Leo Reich has been hospitalized with “a terrifying health issue.”
Michele, who plays Fanny Brice in the Broadway revival of Funny Girl, said she will miss a couple of outings to care for her son with husband Zandy Reich amid their health battle.
“I’m so sorry but unfortunately I’ll be off @FunnyGirlBwy today,” the 36-year-old New York City native said on Instagram Stories.
She continued: “We’re in the hospital with our son dealing with a scary health issue that I need to be here for.”
The Glee star added: ‘I’m so sorry. Please send us some love and strength.’

The New York City native took to Instagram Stories to update her fans on the situation.
She accompanied the message with a photo of herself holding the toddler next to a beige teddy bear.
The musical also confirmed that Michele would not be at the matinee or Wednesday night performances in a social media post.
It read: ‘Lea Michele will be out of both performances today, Wednesday March 22nd. Julie Benko will be your fabulous Fanny!’
